Cantemerle is considered by many to be the ‘Gateway to the Medoc’ - it has astonishing consistency coupled with outstanding quality and value.
The 2016 Cantemerle is a gorgeously balanced wine which typifies the fresh, precise style of the vintage. It reminded us both of the 1990 and 1982 which, needless to say, trade for a considerably higher price per case today. We certainly agree with James Suckling when he referred to the Cantemerle as 'vivid' with 'lots going on'. It is stunningly powerful and will be the perfect drinking wine for the next two decades.
