One of our highest-rated wines of the vintage, the 2016 Cheval Blanc, has been released this morning at GBP 6400. This was universally admired – adored – by the critics, with Messrs, Martin, Suckling and Galloni all giving it potential for 99pts. Neal Martin referred to it as 'a classic and intellectual Cheval Blanc' whilst Suckling referred to it as 'beautifully formed and polished'. A simply superb Cheval.

Following the excitement of Cheval's release is the capivating Pavie Macquin at GBP 720 - one of the most surprising and engaging wines of the vintage. We were wowed by this wine - it has without doubt one of the finest pieces of terroir in St Emilion, indeed across all of the Right Bank and this truly shines through in this powerful wine.

"One of the finest reds of the year - it's as simple as that.” - Antonio Galloni (96-99 points)

From Margaux, the superb Giscours is released and available at GBP 540. At the price it remains without question one of the very best values Margaux has to offer. Suckling awarded it 96-97 points and said 'Full-bodied, yet so tight and polished. The finish is very, very impressive.'

It is also a major day for Pessac-Leognan with the releases of Domaine de Chevalier at GBP 648 per case, Malartic Lagraviere red and white both at GBP 492 and de Fieuzal red and white at 385 and 410 respectively.
