Maker's Mark Distillery, situated on Star Hill Farm in Loretto, Kentucky, are still sticking to their old traditional ways to ensure their bourbon whiskey keeps its unique characteristics and flavours. From the way they hand-rotate every barrel and hand-dip every bottle of Maker's Mark, tradition is stapled to each drop of bourbon they produce, and that includes the Maker's Mark Cask Strength. Bottled straight from the barrel at the same proof it was to when it lay in the cask, between 54-57% abv, despite its higher proof this the whiskey has a very smooth taste and emphasises Maker's Marks trademark caramel, vanilla and fruity notes . A bold and strong bourbon with no additions to get in it's way, this is a whiskey for the braver, more seasoned bourbon drinkers.
