The exotic, full-throttle, high velocity, mouth-staining, unctuously textured, dense ruby/purple-hued 2003 Grenache Old Vines Blewitt Springs is classic southern Australian Grenache. Pushed to the limit, but not over the top, it is a spectacular wine to drink over the next 5-7 years.
Robert Parker (Wine Advocate #161, Oct 2005)
Firm, tightly packed with blueberry, plum and a touch of tart spice as the flavors linger on the extended, slightly lifted finish. Has tremendous intensity and depth without excessive weight. Best from 2008 through 2012. 1,200 cases made. HS
Bright cherry and roses with lots of ripe fruit and nice acidity. Great balance and smooth in the mouth. Very clean fruit.
