The 2004 Brut Millésime is a powerful, intense Champagne. Today it is the Pinot that dominates, as the wine's rich, phenolic weight speaks volumes. At ten years of age, the 2004 remains bright, focused and very nicely delineated. The only thing missing is a little bit of finesse. Still, there is plenty to like. Hints of lemon oil, almond and spice add the closing nuances. The 2004 is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, all done in steel. This bottle was disgorged in March 2013. Dosage is 8 grams per liter.
