A cool and gentle fragrance combines delicate aromas of sweet apple and citrus fruit with just a dusting of icing sugar. Egon Müller does not do trocken, but the Scharzhof Gutswein makes a little concession to the drier side of Saar Riesling with what others would call feinherb on the label. Restraint in fruit means there is more room for spices and a little mineral dust to tingle the taste buds.
