Wine Advocate

Deep garnet colored, the nose begins with vague whiffs of sweaty saddles and barnyard that only slightly mar the otherwise alluring aromas of warm cassis, stewed plums, raspberry preserves, dark chocolate and a touch of bay leaf. Led by structure, the palate is crisp with medium to firm, very finely grained tannins offset by fleshy fruit layered with savory flavors into the long finish. LPB Nov 2010
