Wine Advocate February, 2012
The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny Les Combottes is a touch rounder and deeper than the villages. Layers of dark red fruit caress the palate on the generous, inviting finish. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2029.
Outstanding. This is exceptionally pretty and notably elegant as the nose features a moderately pitched combination of floral notes, red pinot and cassis aromas. There is a lovely mineral component to the satin-textured medium-bodied flavors where the supporting tannins are ultra-refined, all wrapped in a lacy and persistent finish. A classic Chambolle of finesse. Drink: 2017+
