The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis Aux Chezeaux 1er Cru has a tertiary nose, evidence of some whole bunch addition although the stems rather impede across the fruit profile. There is some reduction here but that will be addressed with bottle age. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, nicely balanced, fresh and saline with a gradual build towards a structured, "correct" finish. This is a fine solid Morey-Saint-Denis that will require some bottle age. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.
