A more deeply pitched nose offers up notes of wood spice, earth and plum aromas that are, not surprisingly, less elegant but denser as are the serious, concentrated and powerful medium weight plus flavors that benefit from seemingly endless amounts of sap yet the hugely long finish is still quite firm. This should age extremely well though patience will be required. Drink 2019+.
