The 2012 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint Georges has a composed, confident bouquet with perfumed floral aromas complementing the lifted black briary fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with tensile tannins that neatly offset the marmalade-tinged red berry fruit and the fleshy, satisfying finish. There is a sense of bravura about this Les Saint Georges and that is not a bad thing.

Tobacco, smoke and graphite are layered into the imposing finish. The 2012 Les Saint-Georges is clearly built for the cellar.
