100% Viogner - Firm yellow colour; this has a ripe, prolonged, broad bouquet, a glazed fruits, apricot emphasis, notes of quince plum, aniseed that are in neat counterpoint. The palate has fat on the attack, a plump tone with a free rolling content all through, exotic fruits in the flavour, mango, guava. The finish is almost robust, very certain, firm richness there. Something of the red wine in structure here. It’s an up front Condrieu, just a bit reserved, toning down currently. Decant it, and drink from spring 2022. Tasted in June 2021.
