More rounded and expansive on the palate than the Los Alamos Vineyard release, the 2013 Pinot Noir Duvarita Vineyard comes from sandy loam soils located just across the western edge of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. This is a very cool site. It offers classic cool-climate spice, crushed flowers, strawberry and assorted red fruits, with a kiss of vanilla, to go with a medium-bodied, pure, polished feel. I like the depth of fruit here, and, for such a cool climate site, it has terrific fruit and texture. It's already beautiful, but I've no doubt it will evolve nicely for 4-5 years. - Jeb Dunnock, August 2015
