69% Malbec, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot. More fragrance and floral character than the 2010, with restrained fruit, though it is still every inch the Argentinean Malbec. Lovely grain to the tannin and persistent savoury black fruit on the length. Great stuff. (RH)

71% Malbec, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot. They worked on protecting the wine from oxygen with great care to keep barrels absolutely full. A fresher year but a very high alcohol level! Blackish crimson. Much finer nose. Racy and lively with just a hint of the char on the finish. Just a tiny bit porty on the end but you would never guess at the alcohol level. (JR)
