Pale straw. Lemon and grapefruit aromas complicate ripe apple and spicy peach compote on the nose; this is considerably fruitier than the Spiegel Muscat (the latter grand cru always yields more discreet Muscat wines). Clean and fresh on the palate, offering lively flavors of stone fruits and spicy herbs, along with hints of tangerine and quince. Youthfully chewy and very clean on the bright finish. Exceptionally for this vintage, the wine is 95% Muscat Ottonel because of the Drosophila outbreak.
