Tasting Notes and Scores
Wine Advocate June, 2013
Dark fresh plum and cherry merge with red meat juices in Brun’s 2011 Morgon on a palate of refined texture and buoyancy, as well as infectious juiciness such as one might not anticipate from Beaujolais a third of which was raised in small (though previously used) barrels. This outstanding value finishes with fine persistence and mouthwatering savor implicating salt and iodine as well as berries and meat. Look for high performance through at least 2017.
