Tasting Notes and Scores

87.5 ST

Moderately saturated medium ruby. Pungent, slightly grapey aromas of redcurrant, mint, chocolate and spicy oak. Supple and easygoing, with moderate depth and grip. Nicely sweet wine suggesting rather gentle extraction. Seemed a bit one-dimensional at the outset, and narrow on the back end, but grew broader with aeration. Tannins are dusty and fine.
