Tasting Notes and Scores
A fine effort, the 2019 Belgrave exhibits aromas of blackcurrants, loamy soil and subtle hints of pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, layered and nicely concentrated, with lively acids and ripe but youthfully assertive tannins, it's a well-made wine that will reward a bit of bottle age.

Leather, liquorice, black cherry – fine but high tannins and high acid. Furry, firm style where ripe fruit provides sufficient balance. (RH)

Tasted blind. Deep, dark crimson. Lifted, quite fragrant nose with quite generous fruit and lightly pinched tannins on the end. Better than some of its peers. (JR)
