Tasting Notes and Scores
Lots of minerals and stones here. Full-bodied with phenolic tension and lime, lemon and chalk flavors. Layered and joyous. Just the right lees stirring. Why wait? Drink now.

Green apple, lemon, white peach, honey. Intense grapefruit, lemon, spice, nicely balanced. Superb Clarte! (73% Semillon, 27% Sauvignon Blanc.)
Bordeaux Index
The 2015 La Clarté de Haut-Brion is a very pretty entry-level white from Haut-Brion. A hint of reduction adds nuance to the bright lemon peel, white flower, mint and crushed rock nuances. Understated and classy, with terrific energy, the 2015 has turned out very nicely. Even though the blend is 73% Sémillon and just 27% Sauvignon, the Sauvignon character is quite pronounced. vinous.com, February 2018
Antonio Galloni
The 2015 La Clarté de Haut-Brion is a blend of 27% Sauvignon Bland and 73% Semillon picked between August 28 and September 8. Lime and dried pineapple furnish the nose that is uncomplicated, but fresh and charming, with hints of honeysuckle developing in the glass. The palate is fresh and edgy on the entry with lime, green apple and chalky notes, moderate weight in the mouth with just a slightly clipped finish. Enjoy this over the next decade.

Very sweet Sémillon nose - almost honey! A hint of cat - very mineral. The Sémillon is all on the nose at the moment and the palate seems dominated by Sauvignon character. Lots to chew on. Drink 2020-2027.
