Tasting Notes and Scores
Aromas of currants with blueberries and blackberries. Full body, with integrated tannins and a very pretty finish. This has lovely sweet fruit and length. Nicely done here. Try in 2018.

The Cos-Labory is missing some fruit intensity on the nose, especially when compared to Lafon Rochet. The palate is better with blackcurrant pastille and a touch of briary, strong graphite notes underpinned the rather terse but fresh finish. Not bad for the estate, but nowhere near the class of the estate on the other side of the road. Tasted November 2012.
(89-91 pts)
A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot, offering 14% alcohol, the Cos-Labory is a little muted on the nose but reluctantly reveals some attractive earthy black fruits and well integrated oak. The palate is very tannic on the entry but there is good acidity and purity, much better than in recent years, very structure on the finish with just a touch of orange rind on the aftertaste. Fine. Tasted April 2011.
