Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2009 d’Arche has a mellow, refined bouquet with white flower scents infusing the dried honey, leesy and Golden Delicious aromas. The palate is well balanced with a viscous entry, a fine bead of acidity, quite pure and tensile with a penetrating and lively finish. Excellent. March 2019
Neal Martin
A solid wine with dried lemons, caramel, tarte tatin and peach pie character. Full and dense with racy acidity and a long, sweet finish. Very classy. Better in 2015. May 2013
James Suckling
Pale gold colored, the 2009 D'Arche gives up compelling scents of pineapple upside down cake, applesauce, peach preserves and almond croissant with a touch of lemon curd. Elegant and understated in the mouth, the palate provides lovely purity and restraint with a wonderfully harmonious finish.

Tasted blind. Pale copper. Rather dusty nose. Barley sugar and a bit hot. Disparate elements to this wine. May improve? (JR)
