Tasting Notes and Scores
A juicy red with plums and currants and hints of fresh herbs. Medium body. Lightly velvety with pretty fruit character at the end. A blend of 74% cabernet sauvignon, 24% merlot and 2% cabernet franc. Second wine of Château Lynch-Bages.

The 2017 Echo de Lynch Bages is absolutely delicious. Pliant and open-knit, the 2017 offers up a compelling mélange of red berry fruit mixed with floral and spice notes. In 2017, Echo has a bit more Cabernet Sauvignon than is typical. I very much admire the wine's creamy, inviting personality. In other words, Echo is exactly what a second wine should be. - vinous.com, May 2018
Antonio Galloni
The delicious second wine of Lynch Bages, made from younger vines on the estate and typically representing 25-40% of the harvest. Quite backward and muted, brooding. Again that sense of zesty, vibrant energy comes through, a real hallmark f this vintage for the Czes properties. Grippy tannins. - April 2018
Bordeaux Index
The 2017 Echo de Lynch Bages, aged in one-year old barrels for 12 months, has a light blackberry and earthy bouquet, a little cedar tucked in underneath, perhaps not quite as precise as the 2016 last year. The palate is medium-bodied with light and quite supple tannin, smooth and harmonious in the mouth, if just a tad short towards the finish. - vinous.com, May 2018
Neal Martin
Black core, purple rim. Intense, pure cassis on the nose – essence of Cabernet. Super-supple, extreme finesse in the tannins and really elegant while still having lots of dark fruit. Complete, refined, and fruity. Fine, dark-fruited finish. - Julia Harding, jancisrobinson.com, April 2018
