Tasting Notes and Scores
The2014 Feytit Clinet is fabulous. A wine of real pedigree, the 2014 hits the palate with an exciting mélange of graphite, smoke, tar, licorice and savory herbs, all supported by veins of firm, salivating tannin. Stylistically, Feytit Clinet stands out from most Pomerols in this vintage for its imposing structure, so readers should expect a wine that is more about power than sensuality. There is little doubt this is one of the most compelling Pomerols of the vintage. The 2014 saw 5 days of cold soak followed by 26 days on the skins. Malolactic fermentation was done in barrel. The blend is 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc. Proprietor Jérémy Chasseuil and his team have done a magnificent job with their 2014. Tasted two times.

Mid crimson. Scented and intense high-toned nose with some savour and raciness. Acidity is fairly pronounced but it has guts and persistence. (JR)
