The 2022 Lagrange is a bold, racy wine. Dried herbs, tobacco, cedar, mint and incense give the 2022 striking aromatic nuance and vibrancy to match its mid-weight personality. The Cabernet is especially evident in this savory and punchy Saint-Julien that is showing very well today.

Exhibiting aromas of cassis, tobacco leaf, sweet soil tones and licorice, the 2022 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and concentrated, with velvety tannins and a rather rich, generous profile. As ever, this bottling benefits from the strict selection that goes into crafting the grand vin.

The 2022 Les Fiefs de Lagrange represents 60% of the total production this year. Blackberry, raspberry and nuanced touches of orange blossom, with fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with high-toned black cherries and cassis fruit. Sweet and slightly confit in style with a splash of balsamic toward the finish. Very fine.

Plenty of depth and spice, giving balance to fully ripe fruits that head towards fig and baked plum. Dark chocoloate, black pepper, cigar box gives complexity, but this is intense.
