The 1990 is a big, chewy, sweet, opulent St.-Emilion with good body and intensity, as well as a deep mouth-feel. There are gobs of fruit, plenty of spices and herbs, and a nice touch of sweet vanillin from the new oak. Drink it over the next decade. It is the finest Fonroque in decades.
