Deeply colored, the wine shows its dark cocoa, licorice, black plum and espresso core with little effort. Soft, round, elegant, silky, medium-bodied and fresh, this is going to be quite nice to enjoy over the next 12-15 years. 90-92

The 2020 Château Godeau showed well and, I suspect, will be an outstanding wine. Offering ample red and black fruits, spice, dried earth, and chocolaty notes, it has plenty of mid-palate depth, ripe tannins, and terrific overall balance.

Deep purple-black colored, the 2020 Godeau gives up fragrant notes of kirsch, black raspberries and stewed black plums with underlying hints of roses, wild mushrooms and powdered cinnamon. The medium to full-bodied palate coats the mouth with red and black berry layers, framed by soft tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing on a fragrant earth note.
