Iron, smoke, game, tobacco, black cherry and a host of more soil-driven tones give the 2016 Grand Corbin Despagne its virile, brooding personality. Far from an easygoing Saint-Émilion, the 2016 is a burly, powerful wine that needs time in bottle to be at its best. This is a terrific wine in the making.
