The 2022 Grand Corbin Despagne is stellar. A large-scaled, dramatic wine, the 2022 possesses notable depth and tons of dimension. Inky dark fruit, lavender, licorice, violets and cloves build in a dramatic Saint-Émilion that marries opulence and structure. Clean mineral and savory accents extend the finish.

Focused and precise with black berry and salty undertones. It’s medium-bodied with juicy and fresh fruit at the end. Made from biodynamically grown grapes.

Unfurling in the glass with aromas of cherries, sweet berries and plums mingled with hints of spices and licorice, the 2022 Grand Corbin-Despagne is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with excellent concentration, supple tannins and a bright, lively core of fruit. It's a terrific effort from this under-the-radar estate.

The 2022 Château Grand Corbin-Despagne is a pretty, floral, bright and lively 2022 that has plenty of structure on the palate. Black cherries, blueberries, and spring flowers all define the aromatics, and it has a bright, almost racy spine of acidity, quality tannins, and a great finish. It does well in the vintage and shines for its vibrancy and freshness.

Edges of aniseed right off the first moment, intense black fruits, muscular and bristling tannins, with ripe fig and rosemary herbs. Good quality, intense, not quite the lift through the palate to take things up a gear, but plenty to enjoy. Groupe SMA, same as Château Cantemarle over in the Médoc. 40% new barrels for ageing.

The 2022 Grand Corbin-Despagne has a ripe black cherry and boysenberry jam-scented bouquet with moderate definition. It's a bit ostentatious. The palate is medium-bodied with sweet, fleshy tannins but needs more tension, backbone and grip on the finish.
