Tasting Notes and Scores
Owned by the same family who have run Château Lafleur since the 17th century, this is a great value dry white. Comprised of 54% Sauvignon Blanc and 46% Semillon, it is a classic white Bordeaux blend. Gooseberry and nettle aromas are joined by a hint of honey. Very fresh flavours, with notes of herbs, lemon and lime, and beeswax. Crisp and light and very well balanced, this will cut through oily fish and fatty meats wonderfully. James Button

A very clean and lively white with dried apricots and lemons. Medium to full body, bright acidity and a clean and fresh finish. A blend of sauvignon blanc and semillon.

The Château Grand Village 2013 was impressive out of barrel and now in bottle, it appears to be one of the best white Grand Village that the Guinaudeau's have produced. It has a fresh, tightly-wound bouquet with just a hint of tropical fruit that I suspect will become more prominent with bottle age. There is a lovely apple-blossom scent here. The palate is well-balanced and citrus fresh, fine tension throughout with pleasant salinity on the finish. Enjoy this over the next few years as the whites can age extremely well.
