Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2005 from Domaine de l’Eglise is a good, fleshy Pomerol with a dense ruby/purple color, loads of mulberry and black cherry fruit, and hints of licorice and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, soft, and about 2-4 years from full maturity, this wine should easily last 15 or more years. - Wine Advocate #219, June 2015
Wine Advocate
Good medium ruby. Plum, licorice, mocha and toasty oak on the nose. Sweet and deep, with dark berry, cherry and menthol flavors still unfolding. Not showing its complexity today, but this rich, firmly tannic Pomerol has the structure to develop with five to seven years of bottle aging.
