Tasting Notes and Scores
5 g/l total acidity; 13% alcohol): Dark ruby-red with a garnet rim. Deep herbal nuances complement dark berry and cocoa aromas. Then rich and ripe in the mouth, with dark fruit and tar flavors offering excellent balance and a bright, lively texture. This lovely wine finishes bright and clean, with a lingering mineral note and an increasingly rich texture.

Lynch Bages has fashioned an attractive, medium-bodied, soft wine in 1991. It would make a noteworthy bargain if it were selling for under $18 a bottle. The color is dense, and the nose offers up bold cassis aromas intertwined with earth and new oak. The wine is moderately deep, reveals some tannin, but finishes quickly. It is a good, ripe, light to medium-weight Lynch Bages that is best drunk over the next 7-8 years.
