Tasting Notes and Scores
Very dark, rich in oaky blackcurrant aromas and robustly fruity, this certainly has Pauillac typicity. It's velvety as well as concentrated and weighty, and the still-chewy tannins give grip and energy. Long finish, but it's far from elegant. Drinking Window: 2023 - 2026

Aromas of blackberry, black currant and flowers. Full body, ultra-fine tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Extremely well done for the vintage. Drink or hold.

This solid red sports a tangy iron streak from the start, with lively red currant and briar patch notes forming the core. A zip of savory cuts through the finish, which reveals lightly chewy grip in the end. Best from 2017 through 2023. — JM

The 2013 Lynch-Bages is unusual but also quite pretty. In this vintage the flavors are quite dark, with distinct dark red/purplish overtones. Dried flowers, cloves and sage are some of the notes that develop with time in the glass. The 2013 finishes with lovely length and precision. The blend is 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
