Tasting Notes and Scores
From the Chadronnier family, this wine, which is generally dominated by about 80% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, has a saturated ruby/purple color, dense, ripe black cherry and mulberry fruit, a Right Bank, sort of Pomerol lushness, medium to ful body, and beautiful purity and texture. It is a sleeper of the vintage.

Dominated by Merlot, the fruity, soft 2005 Marsau, while not up to the quality of the 2003, is a hedonistic, charming effort meant to be drunk over the next 5-7 years.
Wine Advocate
Hints of dark chocolate over rich, ripe black fruits. Dense and chewy tannins balanced by very good fruit depth on the mid palate and just the right amount of freshness. 100 per cent Merlot. (JH)
