Tasting Notes and Scores
This is explosively rich, with almond cream, heather and honeysuckle aromas giving way to mouthwatering lime chiffon, papaya and dried persimmon notes. Long and expansive, with intense citrus pâte de fruit on the finish. Still on the youthfully rambunctious side, so cellar. JM
Wine Spectator
The 2009 de Myrat is pale to medium gold and has an evolving, nutty nose of baked apricots, dried pineapple, mango and honey with spices nuances. The palate is full, rich, spicy, nutty and maturing, finishing long and oily. LPB
Wine Advocate
The 2009 de Myrat has a generous bouquet with clear honey, brioche, quince and light petrolly aromas, a little Barsac-like in style. The palate is well balanced with a viscous opening, smooth and harmonious with a precise finish that frankly deserves better aromatics. Not bad, though it can show better.
Neal Martin
Pale gold; light honey and mineral nose; a richly sweet, lemony middleweight of a fair concentration, modest complexity and good medium length.
