Tasting Notes and Scores
Classic Pomerol character of black olives, wet earth, violets and dark fruit. Full-bodied, tight and silky-textured with fabulous texture. Stones and dark berries. So serious and real. The depth is like looking down a well. Give it three to four years to integrated but already beautiful. Try in 2023 and onwards.

This is only the second vintage to be produced from what was formerly the La Tour du Pin Figeac vineyard, just across the road from Cheval Blanc. Produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it was aged for 20 months in 50% new oak, one-third demi-muids and two-thirds larger barrels. The 2015 Le Petit Cheval Blanc opens slowly to reveal delicate white peaches, honeysuckle, mandarin peel and yuzu zest notes with touches of blanched almonds, baking bread and fresh hay. Medium-bodied with a compelling quiet intensity in the mouth and electric line of refreshing acidity, it has a lovely silkiness to the texture and very long, savory finish. 4,000 bottles were made. vinous.com, February 2018

The 2015 Nenin is a blend of 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Franc, cropped at 37 hl/ha between 17 September and 5 October over nine picking days. The alcohol arrives at 14.3%. Matured in 35% new oak, it sports a precise and elegant bouquet. This is a more nuanced Nenin compared to recent vintages whereby the Merlot is more expressive than the Cabernet Franc at present. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannin. This is very well balanced, a more sophisticated Nenin than in recent years, due to Jean-Hubert Delon's decision to deselect some worthy parcels into the deuxième vin. There is an attractive sappiness towards the finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. I would just like to see that Cabernet Franc finding its voice by the time this 2015 is in bottle, but this Nenin has very good potential. One to watch.

Packed with fresh plum, black licorice and boysenberry coulis flavors, all inlaid with enticing spice notes. Offers a pure finish, leaning a bit toward stony cut rather than the velvety side. A very solid effort.

New winemaker for the last two years. Lots of replanting. Nine days of picking spread over three weeks (17 September - 5 October). Used vertical and pneumatic press for different portions. Eric Boissenot advises on how to treat each lot. 8% of press wine in this final blend. 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Franc.
Very dark and precise-looking - quite different from the Fugue. Rich but tense. Lots of heady ripeness but some structure too. I'm sure the press wine is doing a great job. Very luscious. Attention-grabbing without being at all exaggerated. 14.3%
