The 2022 Pastourelle de Clerc Milon is a heady, exuberant wine that captures all of the richness of the year in its flamboyant personality. Super-ripe dark cherry, plum, chocolate, licorice and sweet spice are all amplified nicely. The 2022 is an easygoing wine to drink now and over the next decade or so.

52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Carmenère, 1% Petit Verdot. Cask sample. Round, open and expressive with the aroma of red and dark fruit. Opulent attack then a touch of sweetness but finishes savoury and dry. Chalky note on the finish provides balance. (JL)
