Tasting Notes and Scores
The fourth vintage of this wine, hence Acte 4. 51% Merlot (picked 8 October), 49% Cabernet Franc (13 October). Deep cherry red. Just a hint of leafiness on the nose but it's ripe Cabernet Franc, which was not always easy in 2012. Paper-fine and elegant, completely fluid and with extreme finesse. Totally fresh and refreshing. Has a real tension and a spring in its step. Quite a grip even though the tannins are so fine grained. Needs more time than most Bordeaux Supérieurs. (JH)
