Tasting Notes and Scores

86 ST

Moderately saturated red-ruby. Red berries and spicy, toasty oak on the nose, plus a distinct note of cinnamon. On the lean side, with pungent flavors of cedar and spice. Reasonably harmonious but slight. A faint sour note on the somewhat hard finish.

This is a light-bodied, slightly herbaceous and diluted wine with a straightforward, pleasant feel, but not much depth or length. It should drink well for 3-4 years. (No tasting note was provided in Issue 128. We have instead included the text of the tasting note from Issue 122)
