Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2014 Sigalas Rabaud has a detailed bouquet with pure honey, flint and quince aromas, precise and very well focused. The palate is well balanced with a fresh entry, crisp acidity, notes of tangerine and marmalade furnishing the vibrant and spicy finish. Every now and again this property pulls a great Sauternes out of the bag. The 2014 is one of them. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting. - vinous.com, March 2018

Pale lemon in color, the 2014 Sigalas has a wonderfully exotic, tropical fruit scented nose with nuances of honeycomb, fresh ginger, allspice and a touch of lime blossoms. The rich, boldly fruited palate has a zippy line of freshness lifting layer upon layer of pineapple and guava inspired flavors, finishing on a long lingering spicy note.

Creamy, mealy citrus with light notes of oak adding complexity. Sour freshness on the palate, ripe and crisp to the finish. Not the most elegant but well balanced and persistent. (JH)

RS 123 g/l. Tasted blind. Light, simple, slightly sugary on the palate. Then a real presence on the end. (JR)
