Pale lemon-gold colored, the 2018 Sigalas Rabaud leaps from the glass with vibrant grapefruit, lemon tart and green mango scents with nuances of mandarin peel, lime cordial and chalk dust. The palate is wonderfully vibrant with beautiful tension and a long, subtly layered finish.

85% Sémillon, 15% Sauvignon Blanc. RS 120 g/l, TA 3.5 g/l, pH 3.82. Barrel sample. Pure pear fruit on the nose. Full of tangy apricot and bitter orange, zesty rather than particularly fresh, but fresh enough. Deep and satisfying rather than elegant. Intense and long. (JH)
