Tasting Notes and Scores
An amazing, full-bodied Sauternes with the texture of double cream, cascading its exotic blend of orange-peel, thyme, dried-herb and honey flavors to a long finish.
Wine Spectator
The 1989 Suduiraut Crème de Tête was the second and final release. Certainly it is better than the 1982 it has an extravagant bouquet of Satsumas, honeysuckle and beeswax, not a million miles away from a Tokaji of 6 Puttonyos. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, orange peel intermixed with pink grapefruit towards the surprisingly penetrating finish. Unlike the 1982, the 1989 Crème de Tête delivers something to talk about although, bottles are now difficult to track down. 141gm/L residual sugar.
