Tasting Notes and Scores
A deep mahogany core with brick rim. The palate is similar to the bottle served a couple of years ago: bretty, cooked meats, perhaps a little flaccid with dried blood. The medium-bodied palate is savory with low acidity, fleshy, open-knit and fully-mature. Again, there is hint of Pomerol on the mid-palate. Mellow, refined, natural, lacking persistency towards the liquorices-infused finish. Still holding up well, when I thought it might have commenced declining. Tasted November 2006. Drink 2007-2012.

Neal Martin
Fully mature, this dark garnet-colored wine shows plenty of amber at the edge. The nose exhibits moderately intense black currant intermixed with cedar, spice box, and some Provencal herb notes. The wine is soft, medium-bodied, very seductive, but needs to be drunk up. Anticipated maturity: Now-2005. Last tasted, 11/02.
