Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Chambolle Musigny la Combe d'Orveaux has a fragrant bouquet with raspberry preserve, wild strawberry and mulberry scents - not the most complex you will come across in Chambolle, but I appreciate the purity of fruit. The palate is well balanced with red cherry and mulberry, gentle and harmonious, an easygoing and self-effacing Chambolle-Musigny that should give drinking pleasure soon after bottling.

(35% new oak; tasted from tank): Palish red. Like a pungent salad of red berries on the nose, lifted by a floral topnote. Vibrant pomegranate and cranberry flavors are framed by juicy acidity and complicated by a lightly savory quality. The resounding red-fruit finish is lifted by a note of crushed flowers.
