Lovely spicy, vibrant wine; not hugely fleshy but boasts excellent energy, lift and definition and complicating notes of mint and white pepper. This lovely spicy, soil-driven wine boasts terrific energy and rising length, and full ripeness for a classically dry wine. Despite its early balance, it calls for cellaring. Jobard has three parcels of different ages in Poruzots, with an average age of 35 years.

The 2015 Meursault Poruzots 1er Cru is burdened with very heavy reduction on the nose that is impossible to get past. The palate is sweet and slightly honeyed, some botrytis possibly lurking underneath that haze of reduction, and the finish is lightly spiced, but by that time, you are wondering whether it is worth taking another sip.
