Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru contains just over 30% whole bunch. It is lively and fresh on the nose, and more complex than the Les Fuées, loamy soil permeating the red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a lightly spiced but grippy opening and tangy marmalade tincturing the raspberry confit and wild strawberry notes. The finish is just a touch too sweet at the moment. I am sure this will develop more grace and refinement in bottle.
