Bright medium red. Reduced aromas of red fruits and leather; needs a racking. Rich, ripe and pliant for a wine from this village; in a distinctly supple and broad style, with mouthcoating fruit. Should be a big success for this wine. (Incidentally, this vineyard was harvested on October 18 in 2008, said Leroux.)

Tasted from barrel, Nov 08. SO2 had just been added on the day of tasting. Straight, dark and quite severe at this moment. Very directed. Firm yet very fine and with that lovely flowing texture of the Auxey-Duresses village wine. (JH)
