(from fruit harvested with 12.5% natural alcohol; this was the only 2011 here that had not yet been racked): Bright, full red. Tangy aromas of cassis, cherry and bitter chocolate. A juicy, sharply delineated fruit bomb complicated by notes of flowers and minerals. Lively acidity gives this wine a lovely inner-mouth perfumed quality and intensifies its fruit. These vines were harvested late, on September 12, but this wine boasts terrific energy.
