Tasting Notes and Scores

90 ST

Medium red. Rather tight medicinal nose hints at cherry, dark berries and licorice, with a slightly medicinal quality. Sweet, supple, broad and concentrated. This has blossomed nicely since I tasted it from barrel, but the wine's medicinal reserve suggests it will gain with a couple more years of bottle aging. Finishes with firm but suave tannins and very good length.

Softer and more perfumed than Les Poisets but still has that lovely dark fine fruit character. Just a slight firmness of very smooth tannins. Svelte and fresh and long with a fine spicy finish. (JH)
