Tasting Notes and Scores

90.5 ST

(100% vendange entier ): Medium bright red. Distinctly spicy aromas of red fruits, crushed herbs and white pepper; the influence of the stems is clear to see. More peppery and less fruity on the palate, and a bit youthfully imploded despite the fact that this wine completed its malolactic fermentation relatively early. Finishes fresh and solid but slightly bitter, with dusty, peppery tannins making this premier cru tough going today. Does this wine have the underlying fruit to support so much stem influence?
