Spiced and with a light note of vanilla but like all these Aurélien Verdet wines chez Lay & Wheeler, delightfully aromatic as only red burgundy can be. More savoury on the palate but still with a marked delicacy and persistence. Not particularly intense but beautifully balanced. (JH)
